![]() ![]() It seems that car manufacturers are becoming reluctant to expose all the diagnostic details to anyone for free, so from what I understand even after purchasing this you still need to register it with Hyundai to get access to all YOUR car’s data. I know there are a lot of UK folks on this forum, I believe this is what you are looking for, but I saw one for Australia too. I’m based in Poland so my distributor page is here. It looks like G-Scan is the official diagnostics tool supplier for Hyundai, and the i20N will be included in their Autumn software update. Today I finally got a meaningful response on this, from a local distributor of G-Scan. – not so much, for these the tool needs to be developed for the specific car.Īnd it seems there isn’t one yet for the i20N. There is limited visibility into the cars systems with most of them, basic engine parameters (and maybe an engine code) yes, but electronics, navigation system, traction and ABS systems, air conditioning, audio system, reversing camera, key functions, etc. I’m now very skeptical of basic tools, and even the not-so-basic tools. I’ve been doing a bit of digging on this, spoke to a couple of companies that do this sort of thing, tried a number of free tools and apps, and even went as far as purchasing a “professional” handheld diagnostic tool (which I ended up returning immediately).
